Warrenton approves $74,787 change order for Booneslick Road sidewalk project

The Warrenton Board of Aldermen voted to approve Change Order No. 1 for the Booneslick Road Sidewalk Improvements Phase 2 project, adding $74,787 to the contract to cover additional stormwater work and railings.
Director of Operations John Strzokoff presented the project update and the change order, explaining the adjustments were needed once construction got underway. "The total amount of the change order is $74,787," Strzokoff told the board.
Council moved and seconded the motion and approved the change order by roll call, 5–0 with one member absent. Chair noted the change order will finish out the project once the work is completed.
Strzokoff also reported on building activity for October, listed local developers working in several subdivisions and gave a status update on the city pool: the pool boiler suffered a catastrophic failure and the city is installing two replacement boilers, roughly $15,000 each with labor, to provide redundancy.
The council took no other project funding actions at the meeting beyond approving the change order.
