Scot Siple of United Consulting presented the on‑call contract, which the council approved on a motion by Jennifer Flaugher, seconded by Vice President Teresa Sutherlin; the vote was 5‑0. Later in the meeting Mr. Siple asked for approval of a wastewater plant study; council member Jeremy Weliever moved to approve the scope and the not‑to‑exceed $15,000 limit, and President Nicole Parker seconded. That motion also passed 5‑0.
Council received additional operational updates: the speed board parts remain out for delivery, the Community Center spreadsheet showing May revenues and expenses was distributed, and the Town has no update yet on the Community Crossing Grant. Clerk‑Treasurer Michelle Cash said tree trimming will begin within a week and noted ongoing telecom changes for the town phone system.
The council did not record contract line items, timelines, or reporting requirements for United Consulting in the June 4 discussion. The town clerk and consulting firm will be responsible for finalizing contract details and any required public postings.
