Board accepts tentative agreements with Deputy Sheriffs Association for Units 3 and 4

Human Resources reported that Units 3 and 4 of the Solano County Deputy Sheriffs Association ratified successor memoranda of understanding; the board approved the agreements covering March 3, 2026, through Oct. 28, 2028, by a 4–0 vote.
Human Resources Director Niger Edwards told the board on March 3 that the county had met and conferred with the Solano County Deputy Sheriffs Association and that Units 3 (law enforcement employees) and 4 (law enforcement supervisors) ratified a successor memorandum of understanding. The tentative agreements include pay parity language, side letters to address COLA reopeners and provisions to receive any lump‑sum offers negotiated with other units.
The board moved and seconded the item and approved the resolutions by a 4–0 roll call vote. Edwards said the contract term is effective March 3, 2026, through Oct. 28, 2028, and staff will prepare final memoranda of understanding, obtain signatures and make technical non‑substantive adjustments as needed.
