Applicant speaks in support of Conway Drive vacation; council defers ordinance for more research

Matthew Weymouth, who identified himself as living at 5831 Stewart Road, addressed the council during public comment to express support for vacating Conway Drive and to preview a planned site submission for a 7 Brew Coffee drive-through.
"I'm here for the vacation of Conway Drive," Weymouth said, telling council the proposal would be a double drive-through coffee shop with employees taking orders in the drive aisles. He described the concept as "just coffee and drinks" and said his team will return with a full site plan and more details at a later meeting.
Council members and the planning committee noted the ordinance (Ordinance 2024‑12) is on second reading but that the administration requested additional research. Planning Chair Noble said the matter was deferred for further review and granted the applicant time on a future agenda (Nov. 12) to present fuller plans.
Council did not vote on the vacation ordinance at the Oct. 22 meeting and directed staff to complete the requested research. Weymouth said he would attend the Nov. 12 meeting to present more details.
