On personnel, the chief said the scheduling clerk’s job description needs refinement following a grievance; the change is meant to clarify responsibilities related to private‑duty patrol shifts and payroll. He also noted one officer is currently on military leave.
The chief provided a brief technology update: the BIF system, intended to speed location information and provide proactive de‑escalation alerts in disasters or critical incidents, is not yet operational but the department is planning deployment once testing is complete. "It's not up and running yet, but it's for faster location, informed deescalation proactive alerts to any disaster that may occur," he said.
