The Green City Council on March 25 adopted Resolution 2025-R07 as amended, approving first-quarter modifications totaling $302,696 to ensure sufficient appropriations for several items.
Finance Committee chair reported the package and highlighted two significant allocations: $60,000 for Arts Now projects (the administration said roughly $50,000 of that is grant-funded) and a grant-funded outreach associate position in the fire division with a cost just shy of $36,000. The committee discussed other smaller adjustments and closed its report before the floor motion to adopt.
Council moved, seconded and approved R07 by roll call. The clerk recorded a unanimous vote in favor; the chair announced the resolution "is adopted as amended, 5-0." The council did not attach additional conditions to the appropriation changes.
The finance committee also reported on other items on second and first reading (a hazardous-materials training grant application and Maslin Road resurfacing funding) but reserved those matters for future votes.
Next steps: implementation of the appropriations will follow standard administrative procedures and any grant terms; council will consider other finance items in subsequent meetings.
