Members then debated start times. One member suggested a 4–5 p.m. window and another said that would better fit the mayor’s calendar; several members reported work conflicts with an earlier start. After members discussed a compromise, the chair confirmed the committee would meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the motion passed.
The chair said the meetings are intended to be brief housekeeping sessions and noted smaller working sessions, website setup and merchandise preparation would happen between full meetings so public business continues to move forward. The chair also asked that the adopted schedule be sent to the town clerk so the public can follow meeting dates.
The meeting also included a housekeeping note about membership: the chair welcomed new appointee Gary Wallace and said the committee currently has two vacancies—a Connecticut DOT representative seat and a senior services seat previously slated for Sarah Elliott.
