Committee hears about Amy Harbor Drive opening and national-register nomination for Leverett Beeman
Summary
Staff reported a ribbon-cutting for Amy Harbor Drive and announced the Leverett Beeman Historic District nomination was unanimously approved by the state preservation board and will be forwarded to the National Park Service for consideration.
Staff told the committee that Amy Harbor Drive held a ribbon-cutting on Dec. 5 and that the project has its certificate of occupancy; elevators and the second floor are now usable. Staff said a separate dedication for the building committee is planned for January.
In a separate update, staff reported that the state Historic Preservation Office's Preservation Review Board unanimously approved the nomination of the Leverett Beeman Historic District and will forward the nomination to the National Park Service for consideration for the National Register of Historic Places.
