During public comment, Piedmont High School senior Samantha raised restroom availability and cleanliness at parks, asking for improved facilities and a clear, published list of which parks have restrooms and amenities. Nancy, a city parks staff member, acknowledged restrooms are older and could be upgraded, noted twice-daily janitorial service at existing facilities, and supported adding restroom needs to the commission’s next annual report to council.
No formal action was taken; commissioners discussed follow-up items including potential budget requests or consultant work for longer-term maintenance solutions.
