Alameda County board approves consent calendar and adopts salary and administrative ordinance amendments

The Alameda County Board of Supervisors approved its consent calendar and adopted several ordinance amendments during its July 9 meeting.
After roll-call votes, supervisors present voted to approve a mass motion that adopted numerous consent items and formally continued a list of items until the board’s July 23 meeting. Clerk read a long list of items to be continued including item 82.3 (Sheriff Oversight AB 1185) and more than two dozen other entries; the continuances will be reflected in the board’s mass-motion record.
On ordinances the board waived full second readings and adopted amendments to the County administrative code and the county salary ordinance. The board adopted: item 44 (administrative-code amendments for District Attorney inspector classifications) and the two salary-ordinance amendments under items 45 and 46. The clerk recorded 'aye' votes from the supervisors present and noted Supervisors Carson and President Miley were excused.
In routine business the board also approved minutes of prior meetings (motions made and seconded by supervisors) and took several staff briefings.
What happens next: Several continued items will return to the board on July 23 for further consideration; the record of adopted ordinances will be reflected in the county’s formal ordinance register.
