County staff told the joint committee that the Public Safety System Modernization (PSSM) umbrella project has completed its subprojects except for the law enforcement records management system (RMS), which has been moved to a standalone Police Enterprise RMS project.
Staff said non‑RMS subprojects are complete and the remaining PSSM funding of about $1,800,000 was transferred to the Police Enterprise RMS to finish implementation. Because RMS is now a stand‑alone project (which was reviewed by the public safety committee on March 2), staff reported no expenditures for PSSM in the current six-year schedule and recommended the PSSM item be closed out and moved to the full council.
The joint committee accepted the recommendation without objection and will forward the PSSM closeout and the transferred funding to the full council for final action.
