The Howard County Alcohol Beverage Hearing Board on Nov. 18 granted a continuance at the request of the applicant for a new Class B beer, wine and liquor seven-day license for Mitt Family 2 LLC, which plans to operate as The Mitt Room at 3810 Oaks Road in Glenel (address in the application: 3810 Oaks Road, Glenel, Maryland 21737).
Attorney Mr. Yu, representing the applicant, asked the board for additional time so the applicant could amend the application and supporting paperwork. "I was wondering if the board will grant a continuance in this matter so we can amend the complaint, but the application," Mr. Yu said.
Board members discussed schedule impacts and the potential for the matter to be delayed into the new year if the applicant needed time to resubmit. Miss Kim said she had no objection to the request. The board then took a motion to postpone the matter; the motion passed by vote.
What happens next: Mr. Yu will work with staff to refile corrected paperwork and coordinate a new hearing date with the board clerk. The board noted that postponing the matter will push the consideration to a later meeting and that the applicant should coordinate with staff on resubmission details.
