A clerk opened the meeting by reading the municipality’s public-meeting notice, saying the Bernardsville Planning Board will hold meetings in person at the Bernardsville Municipal Building (166 Margaret Grove) and livestream proceedings on YouTube. "Meetings will be live streamed on YouTube with no opportunity on YouTube for public comment," the clerk said, adding that anyone wishing to speak must attend in person. The clerk also announced that, effective Feb. 12, 2026, meetings will begin at 7 p.m.
Why it matters: The change clarifies how members of the public can participate. Board members and staff said the livestream link and agendas will be posted on the borough website and on the public bulletin board at least 48 hours before meetings.
What was said: Board members asked staff to confirm the correct borough website address and how links are displayed. Staff noted that application listings appear on the planning-board page but recent items require an extra button click; the borough is reviewing its website vendor. The clerk said copies of the notice were filed with the municipal clerk and posted on the borough website on 01/22/2026.
Next steps: The notice sets the participation rules going forward; members said staff will check website visibility and post the livestream link on agendas so members of the public can find meeting information.
