Hampton proclaims April 2026 Fair Housing Month and announces two public forums

CDD described two upcoming forums: April 7 directed to housing professionals (with fair-housing credits for real estate agents) and April 18 for the general public and housing services providers, covering renter rights and available resources; both events will be held at the Rupert Sergeant Veteran Conference Meeting Room and registration information was shared via QR code and flyers.
The proclamation notes the Fair Housing Act’s protections and calls on residents to recognize and support fair and equal housing opportunities. City staff said they will continue to publicize the forums and coordinate with Virginia Housing and local partners.
