At the Jan. 5 meeting the Board considered a conditional use permit for a 1,715‑square‑foot Jet’s Pizza carry‑out and delivery location in the Schnucks Brentwood Plaza. Terri Lewis Stevens of LS Architecture presented the application on behalf of Robert Heatherly of Jet’s Pizza STL. Planning staff noted the parcel was zoned GC‑General Commercial, that the site was originally developed in 1986, and that the existing site coverage was reported as 93 percent, potentially indicating pre‑existing nonconformities.
Attorney Lyndee Fritz read Bill No. 6585 by title only. Alderman David Plufka moved and Alderwoman Sharon Harter seconded a motion for a second reading. A subsequent motion to perfect the bill was moved by Alderman Jeff Gould and seconded by Alderwoman Nancy Parker Tice. The ordinance was approved by roll call and became Ordinance #5209.
The minutes contain two different address references for the tenant space: the public hearing text describes the space as addressed 8824 Manchester Road, while the Bill No. 6585 title later in the minutes lists 8828 Manchester Road. This discrepancy is recorded here rather than reconciled; the Board’s action (perfection to ordinance form) is clearly recorded in the minutes.
