The rules-and-personnel committee confirmed an appointment to the Veterans Advisory Commission: Michael Hughes was nominated and the council approved the nomination by roll call.
On a separate public-safety committee item, the council voted not to request a state hearing on a liquor-license stock transfer (TMP 4875) after committee review of investigative notes.
