Communications Director Mullen told the council the city had narrowed public suggestions for the new city-hall park to two finalists: "The Boardwalk At Town Center" and "Town Center Boardwalk." After brief comments from several council members about phrasing and readability, the council reached consensus in favor of "The Boardwalk At Town Center."
Mayor Larry called for a round-robin of preferences and several councilmembers said they liked the first option for its reference to multiple destinations within the Town Center and ease of signage. Councilmember Chris said he preferred the first option but was comfortable with whichever option the council selected. Mullen said staff would proceed with the selected name and thanked the council.
The decision was recorded as a council consensus; staff will update signage and apply the new name to project materials. No formal ordinance or vote was taken during this item.
