Parks and Recreation Board reappoints leadership, approves Nov. minutes
Summary
At its Jan. 8 meeting the Green City Parks and Recreation Board confirmed its chair and vice chair, approved Nov. 6 minutes and named a representative to continue attending planning and zoning meetings.
The Parks and Recreation Board on Jan. 8 confirmed its leadership for the year and approved minutes from its Nov. 6, 2024 meeting.
During the meeting the board nominated and elected a chair and a vice chair. The nomination for chair was made from the floor and seconded; the board voted in favor and the nominee accepted, saying she would be "happy to continue in that role." The board then nominated and confirmed Sean for vice chair by voice vote.
Board members also approved the Nov. 6 meeting minutes after a motion and second; no additions or corrections were offered.
Later in the meeting a motion to designate Dan (named during the roll call) to continue representing the board at planning and zoning meetings was moved and seconded and approved by voice vote.
The board adjourned after completing the agenda.
Next steps: staff will circulate the ordinance text and other requested documents (see staff follow-ups) and the board will invite a sports organization to the February meeting for input on programming and facilities.
