Finance Committee Chair Neuschbauer told council the committee discussed Resolution 2024-R64, a grant agreement with ArtsNow that would provide $50,000 to the City of Green to create a cultural public-art plan and support a possible preliminary installation.
Neuschbauer said committee members discussed the proposal for nearly a half hour and noted that the grant requires a $10,000 match from the city’s general fund. The committee recommended additional time and requested that the resolution be placed on a future agenda for second reading.
Why it matters: The grant would bring outside funds for public art and require a modest local match. Committee members asked for time to review specifics before final action. No vote on the grant was taken at the Oct. 8 meeting; the committee requested a second reading and additional time for council consideration.
