Rushford council tables lease with Historical Society pending utility clarification

The Rushford City Council on Feb. 23 tabled Resolution 2026-014, a proposed lease between the City and the Rushford Area Historical Society, after questions arose about which utility bills the city would be responsible for under the lease.
Terri Benson of the Historical Society answered council questions. Council members confirmed the city will carry building insurance while the Historical Society is required to carry liability insurance. Members asked for explicit clarification of utility responsibilities to be provided by Mike Bubany before the council takes a final vote.
