Planning commission issues positive referrals for four sewer and water extensions

At its April 15 meeting the Danbury Planning Commission issued positive referrals on four City Council agenda items concerning sewer and water main extensions.
Planning staff reported no objections to the referrals. The items and staff notes were: Damien Drive (extension to accommodate 12 additional housing units), 48 East Gate Road (municipal sewer main extension to serve a single‑family dwelling), Worcester Heights Road (sewer extension for the Danbury Proton facility, continuation of an earlier extension), and a renewal of sewer and water main approvals for Great Plain Road and Great Meadow Road (renewal approvals previously granted in 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2023 and 2024, with the restriction that density remain no more than 63 single‑family units).
Commissioners moved and seconded positive referrals on each item and approved all four votes by voice vote. Planning staff noted that the Great Plain/Great Meadow renewal does not change the previously approved density cap.
