"We had an evacuation order on December 29," Supervisor Tam said, and added that the county will hold a community forum on Feb. 5 at the Marina Community Center from 6:00 to 7:45 p.m. to provide information about AC Alert and preparedness steps. Agency staff volunteered to help publicize the event on county websites.
In public comment, Sharon Cornu, executive director of St. Mary's Center, noted that UCSF Benioff data put seniors at about 48.5% of the unhoused population and described workforce development efforts that now include HUD‑funded street outreach led by senior ambassadors. Cornu said St. Mary's will return for Measure W and housing bond discussions.
