The Danbury Planning Commission approved a draft resolution to grant Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism Inc. a special exception and revised site plan approval for expansion of an existing dependency treatment center at 38 Old Ridgebury Road (special exception number 799).
Jenna Framinger, deputy planning director, told commissioners that staff had mostly received and reviewed required reports and that conditions 6, 7 and 8 on page 4 of the draft resolution referenced outstanding staff reports (planning, engineering and traffic). Framinger said the traffic engineer requested ADA ramps at a crosswalk and that the applicant agreed to install them; staff recommended approval with those conditions.
Commissioner Helen moved to approve the draft resolution "with the condition stated in the resolution of approval document of 08/15/2024," a motion that was seconded and approved by voice vote. Framinger characterized the petition as straightforward and said staff had no objection to approval subject to the stated conditions.
The action is recorded as approval of the draft resolution with conditions; final plan documents and any outstanding staff reports must be completed as required by the resolution.
