At its June 15 meeting, the Park Rapids Area School Board approved a package of personnel actions and recognized a long-serving staff retirement.
On the consent agenda the board approved resignations, including Annie Lehrke-Minske from Century Elementary and Brianna Kirchner (licensed school counselor). The board also approved new hires including Emily Schueller and Christine Sauer as co–high school yearbook advisors; Megan Edelman (Century Elementary fourth-grade teacher); Jillian Oliphant (Century Elementary second-grade teacher); Bonnie McNeese (Century Elementary kindergarten teacher); Kim Splett (assistant community education director); and the hiring of Annie Lehrke-Minske as assistant principal at Century School. The minutes list the consent motion as moved by Morgan and seconded by Diekmann.
The board approved increasing Community Education Secretary Tammy Boyd from 30 to 40 hours per week effective July 1, 2026. The board also approved, with regret, the retirement of Art Symanietz after a combined 32 years of service.
These actions were recorded in the meeting’s consent items; the minutes do not show separate roll-call vote tallies for each individual personnel item in the transcript provided. Any additional hiring paperwork, assignments, or effective dates beyond those listed in the minutes will be handled by district human resources and administration.
