Committee backs forwarding Civic Plus agreement to board pending demonstration

Alderman Gould asked to see interface examples and emphasized the importance of a demonstration to ensure the system meets board needs; Alderman Goad asked whether neighboring municipalities use the system and Octavia said she had contacted city clerks and other users and would provide a list of references. Members said continuity with the website was a plus but did not want the website relationship to be the only deciding factor.
A member moved and another seconded a motion to forward the Civic Plus procurement to the Board of Aldermen contingent on successful demonstration results. The motion carried on voice/roll-call vote and the committee asked staff to schedule demonstrations and follow up with reference municipalities and clerks.
The recommendation to forward is subject to the Board of Aldermen's review of the demonstration and final approval of any contract terms.
