Flowood board approves consent items, denies Free Port exemption and adopts animal ordinance amendment

City Attorney Lem Adams presented an application from Transcript Pharmacy, Inc., seeking a Free Port Warehouse exemption for inventory located at 2506 Lakeland Drive, Suite 201 in Flowood. Alderman Don Flynt moved to deny the application; Alderman Kathy Smith seconded and the board denied the exemption by unanimous vote.
Assistant General Counsel Erica Jo Lloyd presented an amendment to the city’s ordinance regulating the keeping of animals. Alderman Kirk McDaniel moved to adopt the amended ordinance; Alderman Dusty Rhoads seconded and the board adopted the amendment unanimously.
