Taos council approves park reimbursements and the FY2027 budget

The minutes show Alderman Matt Forck moved that transfer and Alderman Bob Cynova seconded; the motion passed.
Council members also approved a $10,000 reimbursement to Parks for grass cutting and a $12,600 transfer to cover park payroll for FY2026; Juergensmeyer reported park payroll for FY2026 was $12,596.81. Alderman Matt Forck moved the grass-cutting and payroll motions; recorded ayes for these votes were Aldermen Matt Forck, Viola Schaefer, Tom Wieberg and Bob Cynova.
Juergensmeyer presented an amended FY2026 budget and the council approved an amendment updating field-supplies expense to $1,200 for the year ending June 30, 2026. The council then considered and approved the proposed budget for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2027; Alderman Viola Schaefer made the motion to approve that budget and Alderman Bob Cynova seconded. All motions recorded in the minutes passed.
