The staff member said the town is “waiting for a response by Wednesday of next week in order to find out what avenue” it will pursue, which could include returning to court on the judgment or involving the state’s attorney about noncompliance with illegal units.
On 52 North Main Street, the staff member said inspections have been completed and orders are in place. He said he planned to meet with building staff and Dean to conduct a full inspection, and that the town may deem the structure unsafe; temporary measures such as snow fencing were discussed to address fall hazards.
Regarding 699 Country Club Road, the staff member said Dean had issued warrants and inspected the property. The staff member said he was holding an application related to the structure and an alleged dog-breeding operation, which he said “is not allowed.” He told the meeting the application was set to expire around Nov. 22 and that an arrest warrant would probably be sought to obtain a court order addressing both the alleged breeding operation and the illegal structure. The staff member also said a prior administrative search found the structure insufficient under the building code.
