Tonto Basin board unanimously approves multiple policy batches and vouchers

The Tonto Basin Elementary School District #33 Governing School Board met Aug. 11 and unanimously approved several batches of second-reading policy actions and district vouchers.
At 3:30 p.m., Ms. Wendy Neil called the meeting to order. The board voted to adopt the agenda, approve the July 14 minutes and then moved to consideration of vouchers and second readings. The board approved FY25 vouchers (Voucher 2529'2531) and FY26 vouchers (Voucher 2601'2603). The FY25 maintenance-and-operations voucher totaled $19,174.43. The FY26 approvals included maintenance and operations ($32,875.14), E-Rate ($242.82), National Forest Fees ($1,961.99), capital outlay ($5,470.02), workers'compensation ($10,100.13) and food service ($1,343.77), with a combined total reported of $51,993.87.
The board then considered a series of second readings labeled in the agenda as "PA" ranges. Each motion was introduced and seconded and carried without opposition: - PA 744'747: motion by Mrs. Shawna Morris, second by Mr. Sterling Thomas; passed unanimously. - PA 748'762: motion by Ms. Wendy Neil, second by Ms. Robin Holt; passed unanimously. - PA 763'786 (excluding PA 777): motion by Mr. Sterling Thomas, second by Ms. Wendy Neil; passed unanimously. - PA 787 (rejection): motion by Mrs. Shawna Morris to NOT approve PA 787, second by Mr. Sterling Thomas; the motion to reject PA 787 passed unanimously. - PA 792'800 (excluding PA 796 & PA 797): motion by Mr. Sterling Thomas, second by Ms. Wendy Neil; passed unanimously. - PA 801'807: motion by Ms. Wendy Neil, second by Mr. Sterling Thomas; passed unanimously. - PA 808: motion by Mr. Sterling Thomas, second by Ms. Robin Holt; passed unanimously. - PA 876'905: motion by Mrs. Shawna Morris, second by Ms. Wendy Neil; passed unanimously. - PA 906'908: motion by Ms. Wendy Neil, second by Mr. Sterling Thomas; passed unanimously.
Each motion was recorded in the minutes as "All in favor, none opposed; motion passes." The minutes list four board members present for votes: Ms. Wendy Neil, Mr. Sterling Thomas, Mrs. Shawna Morris and Ms. Robin Holt; one member, Mrs. Laci Sopeland, was absent.
