The City of Monona Finance and Personnel Committee on July 6 approved Resolution 26-7, a capital budget amendment to allow up to $20,000 for conceptual design services for a public space associated with the Green Line development. "This proposal is to provide conceptual design services for several options for Parks Board, Plan Commission and City Council to review and move forward with a design for the public space park at the Green Line development," Director Anderson said. He told the committee staff intends to seek a couple of quotes and begin concept work so design runs concurrently with council consideration of the overall development. Anderson said the anticipated goal is for construction to be majorly complete by spring 2028.
Committee member (S2) moved to approve the requested amendment; the chair (S1) seconded and the authorization carried by voice vote. The committee record shows the requested amount as "up to $20,000"; no additional funding sources or detailed scope beyond concept options were specified in the meeting record.
