Johns Creek staff introduce special projects coordinator and preview spring events

The Johns Creek Arts & Culture Committee formally welcomed Amanda Bach as the committee’s new special projects coordinator and primary liaison to ACE. Moderator introduced Bach and noted she joined the city in January and has experience with Georgia Tech, the Georgia General Assembly, the Georgia Office of Planning and Budget, the Judicial Council of Georgia Office of the Courts and the U.S. House of Representatives.
Bach outlined several upcoming city events and partnerships attendees should be aware of: a Lunar New Year celebration on Saturday, Feb. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Atlanta Athletic Club fields; Battle of the Bands on Saturday, March 7 at Newtown Park starting at 6 p.m. (a lineup of roughly 11 bands, including youth bands); and Daffodil Daze on Saturday, March 28 from noon to 6 p.m. She said the city will run a social-media volunteer-story campaign leading up to Daffodil Daze and that Johns Creek Beautification will be a supportive partner.
Bach encouraged committee members to promote the events in their networks. The committee did not take formal votes on these event updates; staff directed members to consult the city’s website and social channels for more details.
