Discussion of a Legacy Garden makeover at the Patagonia Public Library continued at the March 11 advisory board meeting. Susan Lange and Library Administrator Shawnie Kennedy will meet with the Town Manager to determine whether town funds are available; Susan said 5–6 community members have expressed interest in volunteering.
Proposed design ideas noted by the board include converting the space to low-water plants and creating a Zen effect using gravel, pots and art. Susan is leading the project, will establish a volunteer committee, schedule a planning meeting and anticipates planting in May.
The Legacy Garden was placed on future agendas for updates; the board did not record a formal funding allocation at the March 11 meeting, and the availability of town funds remains to be determined.
