Kennedy said the change reflects a town-level scheduling decision and not a new board policy. She asked board member Linda Shore to post the library calendar on the library website and will research adding a visible "date added" to barcode stickers on newly labeled books.
The change could affect patrons who rely on Monday access for borrowing, returns or in-person services; the board did not record any formal vote on the hours during the minutes, and Kennedy characterized the change as "per Town decision." The conference room will continue to be available for rental under the library’s rules, with community nonprofit groups able to use the space at no charge.
The board’s next meeting is scheduled for April 8, 2025, when members listed "update on the Legacy Garden makeover" and other items as future agenda topics.
