Councilwoman Laura Pendley said a replacement computer for the Town Clerk has been delivered and that kickoff dates must be set for the computer installation and a network upgrade. Pendley also said the town is acquiring a CoPilot license to assist with minutes automation and noted that future meeting-room hardware may include voice-identification features.
Chief of Police Kyle Lamparter said the department's Crown Victoria backup vehicle has a seized rear bearing and that he will list that vehicle and a 2021 Charger for sale on GovDeals; he also said he will search nearby agencies for a suitable backup vehicle. Pendley and council members did not schedule exact procurement dates during the workshop but identified next steps for implementation.
Town Clerk Jennifer B. Newbold is recorded in the minutes as providing deadlines for reports and adding items to the Town agenda prior to an absence; the minutes also list her as absent in the attendance line. The clerk noted that dates and times are to be determined for a Comprehensive Plan hearing and a Rights of Way Survey public meeting.
Council provided no formal vote on IT purchases or vehicle dispositions at the workshop; the actions noted were informational and procedural next steps.
