Local resident tells commissioners he is tracking donation patterns in WinRed and ActBlue

During the public-comment period, Rutherford County resident Nick Youngblood addressed commissioners about what he described as suspicious patterns in campaign-donation records tied to local addresses.

He alleged that donors in the county have had donations attributed to their addresses in a pattern he characterized as coordinated or potentially fraudulent and named the fundraising platforms WinRed and ActBlue in his remarks, saying, "Those two organizations are corrupt." He told the board he has shared his work with North Carolina legislative staff responsible for election fraud oversight and that the sheriff's office was present at the meeting.

Chairman Bryant thanked Youngblood for bringing the material to the board's attention; Youngblood said he had sent an electronic copy of his analysis to commissioners and offered to share it with any interested staff.
