The municipal budget documents included these figures: municipal appropriations within caps of $20,148,224.00; appropriations excluded from caps of $4,504,141.95; total general appropriations of $24,999,098.70; anticipated revenues other than property tax of $5,326,007.30; and an amount to be raised by local taxes for municipal purposes of $18,822,379.27. The budget also lists a reserve for uncollected taxes of $346,732.75 and a minimum library tax of $850,712.13.
Councilman Joseph Samperi and Acting Borough Clerk Anne Michelle Sery noted the procedural schedule: the budget was introduced April 22 and public adoption is set for May 27, 2025, providing the statutorily required 28-day interval between introduction and adoption. The borough published a municipal budget notice and will accept public comment at the May 27 hearing.
The introduction passed on a unanimous council vote. The next formal step is the advertised public hearing and opportunity for taxpayers to present objections at Borough Hall on May 27.
