Board approves new residence at 29 Bellerive Country Club Grounds Drive after neighbor raises tree and drainage concerns

David Schaub of Schaub Design + Build presented a new residence proposed for 29 Bellerive Country Club Grounds Drive. Mrs Salthouse observed the front elevation appeared monotone; Mr Schaub said the owners preferred textures that create shadow.
Neighbor Jaime Dodd of 28 Bellerive Country Club Grounds Drive spoke during public comment and said a tree on the property line needed removal and that she had previously installed pipes to address runoff on her lot. Mr Spencer reviewed the site plan and pointed out that the tree is shown on Ms Dodd’s property; Ms Dodd said her surveyors had indicated otherwise but said she was willing to remove the tree. Mr Schaub and his civil engineers said grading would keep water on site and that runoff would be piped to a drywell behind the new house.
Following discussion and no further public comment, Mrs Proost moved to recommend approval and Mrs Benes seconded. The board took a voice vote and unanimously recommended approval, authorizing issuance of a building permit once applicable codes and ordinances are met.
