Assembly passes multiple bills on consent calendar; clerk records votes
Summary

The New York State Assembly moved through a consent calendar after ceremonial resolutions and recorded votes on multiple bills, many of which were approved.
The clerk read numerous bills under rules reports and on the consent calendar, including several acts "to amend the Public Health Law" (Assembly numbers cited by the clerk included 1026, 1468, 1472, 1475, 1476 among others), an act to amend the cannabis law (laid aside), an act to amend the General Business Law, and an act to amend the Economic Development Law. For several items the clerk read the final section and noted effective dates; for others the clerk laid them aside.
The clerk recorded the vote results for individual bills as they were called. For bills with roll-call-style announcements the clerk announced the tally for the record (the transcript records 'Ayes' and 'Nos' as the clerk announced them). Several bills were passed and the clerk announced the bill is passed. A handful of bills were laid aside (for example, the cannabis amendment was laid aside).
The House then moved to internal business and adjourned for an immediate majority conference.
Because the consent calendar contains many individual bills, the clerk's reading and recorded announcements are the official record for final passage; the transcript includes the bill numbers read on the floor and the clerk's announcements of passage.
