Parks and Rec board re-elects chair, selects pro tem and welcomes new member

The board conducted leadership elections for 2025, re-elected its chair, elected a chair pro tem and welcomed new member Terry Faber; outgoing member Alexandra Thomas was recognized.
At the start of the March 20 meeting the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board completed routine leadership and membership business. Clerk Toby Duffy called the roll and noted two new members had joined the board (Terry Faber is present; Lainie Teaker was not in attendance).
Nominations were opened and the board re-elected the chair for 2025; the motion carried following member responses on the record. The board also nominated and voted to elect a Chair Pro Tem to serve in the chair’s absence; the meeting record indicates Board member Garrett was elected Chair Pro Tem for 2025. The board also recognized outgoing member Alexandra Thomas and noted a small token (a name badge) would be made available to thank her for service.
The clerk confirmed there were no public commenters signed up for the meeting and the board approved minutes from three prior meetings (Oct. 14, 2024; Jan. 16, 2025; Feb. 27, 2025) with no corrections. The meeting adjourned at 6:12 p.m.
