City leaders said previous one‑time increases (noted by the mayor) had helped recently but that baseline operations still leave the museum vulnerable to deferred maintenance.
The museum asked the committee to consider its long‑term capital needs as the budget is finalized; no final council action on the museum appropriation was recorded at the ad hoc meeting.
