Applicant Mario Halasa said the facility is located at 4590 Maslin Road and that the sign submitted is roughly 17.5 square feet; he presented a landscaping plan with perennials, evergreens and boulders. Planning staff told the commission the design meets the district’s height and lighting standards, recommended approval as submitted and noted that some overgrown trees along the frontage would be removed and replaced with the proposed plantings.
A commissioner moved to require installation of a lockbox and staking of the fence location so staff could verify setbacks; that motion was seconded and approved. The commission then voted to approve the sign and landscaping plan by roll call.
