Public safety committee declines to ask for state hearing on Fresh Food Deli beer-and-wine license

Public Safety Committee Chair Mrs. Babbitt said the committee reviewed TMP4948, a new D-2 (beer-and-wine) liquor-license application for Fresh Food Deli Inc. at 5 East Cassin Road. Committee members reported no incidents or complaints associated with the location and the chair indicated the committee would not ask the state to hold a hearing on the application.
Mrs. Babbitt explained the committee’s role is to decide whether to request that the state hold a hearing; absent cause the committee will not seek one. Committee member Mr. Davidis said he had no concerns. No formal request for a hearing will be made at committee and the matter will proceed per state process.
