Sharpsburg council approves girl scout reimbursement, appoints Parsons and okays culvert repair

Girl Scout Ellie Johnikin updated the council on her rain-barrel and pavilion-gutter project and said she had spent $738 to date. The motion carried.
Council approved a $13,500 quote from Huntzberry Brothers to clean and repair the Chapline Street culvert; Councilmember Waters moved and Councilmember Beeler seconded that motion, which carried.
Mayor Russell Weaver recommended appointing former Councilmember Mia Parsons to the Planning Commission. Councilmember Ed Beeler moved and Councilmember Joseph Kudla seconded the appointment; the motion carried.
Other routine approvals recorded in the minutes included acceptance of the Oct. 7 meeting minutes (motion by Councilmember Waters, second by Councilmember Kudla) and approval of the Oct. 2024 financial report (motion by Councilmember Ed Beeler, second by Councilmember Waters).
