Danbury commission approves several regulated-activity applications with conditions

At its Nov. 12 meeting the Danbury Environmental Impact Commission approved four regulated-activity applications after commissioners and applicants confirmed compliance with staff recommendations.

Application 1106RR7 (Judith Drive): Commissioners considered a previously approved application that required confirmation testing. Larry Liebman, the commission’s compliance inspector, said the file includes six special and six standard conditions; a commissioner moved to approve the application for construction of a single-family dwelling with those conditions, the motion was seconded and the commission approved it.

Lot 1 and Lot 2, Bayberry Lane (applications 1246 and 1247): Dennis Verbigas of Ontell Engineering Group told the commission that required revisions—primarily remarking wetland markers about five feet from buffer limits—had been completed and that the applicant accepted the staff report conditions. The commission approved both Lot 1 and Lot 2 subject to the two special and eight standard conditions listed in the staff reports; the Lot 1 motion drew one recorded dissent during discussion but the approvals passed.

12524-6 Fair Mountain Road: The applicant said the submission added a construction sequence, relocated a stormwater discharge line to facilitate an on-site septic system, and included added buffer plantings and stronger erosion controls. The applicant said they reviewed the commission’s project-impact report and were amenable to the recommended conditions; commissioners moved, seconded and approved the application subject to the eight conditions in the staff report.

Each approval was recorded with the condition set contained in the staff reports; applicants were reminded to comply with the special and standard conditions and to coordinate any follow-up with staff.
