The Danbury Planning Commission on July 16 approved a resolution with conditions to permit a revised special exception and site-plan changes at 100 Mill Plain Road to allow conversion from professional office use to medical office use for physical therapy and sports-related services.
Staff member Ali summarized changes to the draft resolution, including an updated usable-square-footage figure in the first whereas and clarified conditions addressing work within the right-of-way, on-site pavement markings and signage, and a set of staff-report items the applicant agreed to on the record. "It's a pretty straightforward application," Ali said.
A commissioner moved to approve the resolution with conditions and another commissioner seconded. Chair called for the vote and the commission approved the resolution by voice vote. The approved conditions require coordination with city engineering for right-of-way work and staff sign-offs on the noted plan revisions.
Next steps: staff will ensure the applicant implements required revisions and obtains the necessary engineering and departmental sign-offs before any permits are issued. The next regular Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for August 6, 2025.
