Committee declines to request hearing on Friendly Express liquor-license application

Council also asked whether the city’s moratorium on vape shops would bar vape sales at the store; staff said the moratorium could be applied to prevent vape products if that is the council’s wish.
With no safety or law-enforcement objections on the record and planning review continuing, the committee indicated it would not request a hearing before the State Liquor Control Board and authorized bringing the item to a vote.
