Diane Knox elected president as Henry Hudson board swears in three new members

The Henry Hudson Regional PK-12 Board of Education elected Diane Knox as board president and Claire Kozic as vice president at its Jan. 5 reorganization meeting, and administered the Oath of Office to three newly elected members.
The meeting opened at 7:00 p.m. at 1 Grand Tour, Highlands, N.J. Suzanne Thomas nominated Richard Colangelo for president and Claire Kozic nominated Diane Knox. After statements from each nominator and a roll-call vote, Diane Knox was announced as president and assumed the chair.
Claire Kozic was elected vice president after nominations from Rebecca Wells (for Kozic) and Justin Thomas (for Suzanne Thomas). Kozic assumed the vice-presidential chair following the roll-call vote.
The board secretary announced the official Nov. 4, 2025 election results for the three three-year terms: Allison Burel (1,489 votes, Highlands), a write-in for Robert Fierro (94 votes, Highlands), and Richard Colangelo (933 votes, Atlantic Highlands). The board secretary stated she would administer the Oath of Office to Allison Burel, Richard Colangelo and Robert Fierro.
Board attorney Danielle Pantaleo and business administrator Janet Sherlock were noted as present; Superintendent Dr. Tara Beams was listed as not present.
The board adjourned at 7:14 p.m.
