District Manager Cleo Adams presented unaudited financial statements as of June 30, 2024 and discussed the five‑year Capital Improvement Plan. Supervisors reviewed potential reallocations, guardhouse design and permitting, the traffic hawk program, and options for using cash sweep accounts.
The Board approved corrections to the June 25, 2024 regular meeting minutes — including the spelling correction of Samantha De Gyras and a wording edit — and on a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Jim Gilman, the amended minutes were approved.
Active action‑item tracking showed multiple ongoing and completed items and noted that the first traffic project sign was installed; the Board discussed possible decorative 10‑foot poles for additional signs.
District Counsel Tony Pires said he is obtaining sketches and legal descriptions for a drainage easement he drafted for the Golf and River Club Seaside and the sketches/legals are pending. Management said a template for Goals, Objectives and Annual Reporting will be used for clients and added as an agenda item at the next meeting.
The Board confirmed the next meeting date is Aug. 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. for adoption of the FY2025 budget. Supervisors requested improved pre‑meeting communications; staff committed to periodic updates on major projects.
