Public-safety committee delays Legends Sports Pub transfer, will not ask state hearing on Cambria Suites transfer
Summary

The City of Green’s Public Safety Committee reviewed two liquor-license items on Feb. 11.
Chair Babbitt (S10) said the committee will move TMP4874, a liquor-license stock transfer for 1840 Town Park Boulevard LLC doing business as Legends Sports Pub and Patios, to its next meeting so the clerk and the law director can provide additional information before deciding whether to ask the state to schedule a hearing. The chair noted the application has a statutory date (noted in committee as Feb. 13) and the clerk said an extension from the state is readily granted.
On TMP4875 — a D5/D6 liquor-license transfer for Cambria Bar and Restaurants (Cambria Suites, Maslin Road) — the sheriff’s office reported two in‑the‑ordinary hotel incidents in the past year. After discussion about resident calls and public-safety considerations, the committee agreed it did not see a reason to request a state hearing on that transfer at the regular council meeting and will vote not to request a hearing at the appropriate time.
Councilmembers discussed whether requesting an extension to gather information would disrupt business; the clerk said a simple procedural extension for a membership transfer would not affect the license holder's ability to operate. The committee closed its review and will treat both items as part of the regular‑meeting consent or business agenda as appropriate.
