Pamunkey Regional Library introduces new director, reports staffing and service changes

Business operations manager Ace Phillips reported the FY25 audit is underway, staff will present a preliminary FY27 budget later in the month, and the library has adjusted electronic lending policies: patrons may check out five electronic items per month (reduced from seven) while Overdrive/Libby limits are now 15 items (reduced from 30) to improve circulation. Trustees also said a delivery van schedule will move to daily visits for Goochland branches following system changes that reduced the number of libraries in the consortium.
Supervisors discussed the Goochland library proffer fund, reported at earlier meetings as $110,000 and restricted to Goochland library initiatives; trustees said they are exploring options including kiosks, capital improvements and outreach. Trustees will present spending ideas to the friends group and the board later this month.
No board action was required at the meeting; trustees and staff asked for continued support as they implement operational changes and pursue outreach efforts.
